Friend's Day

On July, 20th, we celebrate Friend's Day in Argentina.

As you already know, I love dogs, so I've chosen a few pics in which they appear, 
since they are said to be man's best friends.

This is my way to honor friendship and to make a toast to all my friends, 
whether they are nearby or far away...

Pay It Forward Day

Hello everybody,

This is my way "on-line way" of paying it forward... but before I continue, do you know what Pay It Forward is? Have you seen the film entitled like that? If you haven't, you definitely should! It's a 2000 American film based on a novel of the same name written by Catherine Ryan Hyde...

Have you ever had an idea to change the world?

Actually, it's much more than that, since it led to a worldwide movement called Pay It Forward Day, which takes place today, April 26th. 

So, how is it that I'll pay it forward "online" in this post? Basically because I'll introduce you to a new blog called Greenfield Roots , which has recently been created by a group of school students that I teach. They will post in English about different topics of their interest and they would really love people from around the globe to read it and leave some comments.  I hope you can have a look at it :)  Here are the latest posts:

Happy Pay it Forward Day to everybody!

New school year

On February 28th, almost a week ago, it started the primary school year in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina (though not in every school because some teachers are on strike asking for higher salaries) and today, March 5th, it starts the secondary school year... Students and teachers are probably feeling the same way about it - looking forward to the winter holidays, which will take place in July...

Anyway, a few days ago I found these two compilations of pictures showing TEACHERS and PROFESSORS from different points of views. I don't know who compiled them but the author definitely did a good job, don't you think so?

Have you ever heard of Bruno Bozzetto? I did by chance a few days ago  when I received a funny animation entitled "Argentinians and Italians are just the same!" and I couldn't help finding it really funny, smart and true, so I searched more of his videos and found some other interesting ones that I knew I had to share with you...
